Year 7 students at Burgess Hill School for Girls visited Blackland Farm for three days to experience the challenge of outdoor life at the beginning of June 2015; the weather was not particularly kind to them but this added to the fun of it all.

They enjoyed orienteering, kayaking, crate challenge, abseiling and rock climbing, as well as setting up camp and preparing their meals.

Laura Page said “We all tried something we’d never done before and faced our fears. We all enjoyed the trip and learnt something new. Many thanks to the staff at Blackland Farm for a great three days and to our teachers for taking us on this amazing trip; it is an experience we will all remember.”

Miss Melissa Bramley, Head of Lower School said “The trip was designed to give them the opportunity to integrate as a year group by undertaking a variety of outdoor activities and challenges.”
