Following the success of last year’s event, the St. Lawrence Fair Pet Show returns to Hurstpierpoint this month for more fun, wags and wiggles.

The event, which is sponsored by Heath Veterinary Clinic in Burgess Hill and Hurstpierpoint, will be held at the Hurstpierpoint Guide Hut on Sunday June 19.

The pet show is a great opportunity for the local community and their pets to meet up and socialise and there will be lots of fun dog competition classes including ‘best junior Handler’ for under 16s, ‘Waggiest Tail’ plus the ‘Heath Cup’ for best in show.

This year will also see the introduction of the ‘Wright Cup for Best Veteran in Show’ category.

The small animals show (all non-dog entries) starts at 12.30pm and the dog shows begin at 1.30pm.

It only costs £1 entry per class and there will be plenty of refreshments available.

Sarah Solomon, practice manager of Heath Vets, commented:“Last year’s show was a great success and lots of fun.

“We love being part of the community and the pet show is a fantastic way for people to show off their beloved pets and enjoy lots of tea and cake!”
