Families, friends and individuals gathered together to remember their lost loved ones at the Clayton Wood Natural Burial Ground Christmas Memorial Service on Sunday December 6. Around 120 people attended the moving service, near Hassocks, which included hymns, readings and music from the Holy Trinity Church Choir and The Tree Choir. Before and after the service, guests were invited to write a short message to their loved one on a gold star to be placed on the Memorial Christmas Tree. The service helped to raise £144.05 towards disabled children’s charity, Whizz-Kidz, from generous donations from guests.

The service was officiated by Father Mischa Richards and Independent Celebrant, River Jones who also provided time for personal reflection and a minute’s silence. After the service, guests were provided with hot drinks and mince pies to warm up.
