Ariel dance and drama group has been named Best Theatre Class in the third annual KalliKids UK Best Awards.
The Mid Sussex winner beat off competition from more than 1,200 providers to scoop the top award.
Hailed as ‘inspirational’ by lead judge and former Olympian Roger Black, the UK Best Awards recognise the innovation and hard work of providers of family and children services in Britain.
Nicci Hopson, director, said: “Everyone here is over the moon at winning the Best Theatre Class for the second year running.
“We really strive to provide a great experience for all our students and provide them with the highest level of theatrical training, but also skills that that will benefit them throughout their life.
“We always aim to be professional, inclusive and to challenge our students. It’s a great endorsement to receive this award and it tells us we are going in the right direction and maintaining our standards.
“Thank you for the award and to all the parents who voted for us.”
Voting for the 18 categories in the awards began online back in June. The three providers with the most votes were shortlisted in September.
It was then over to a panel of independent judges to select the overall winners.
Ariel runs dance academies and drama production companies in Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Crawley, Steyning and East Grinstead.
KalliKids is the UK’s stamp tick of approval and accreditation service for children’s activities and services.
To earn accreditation KalliKids’ providers have to be referenced and recommended by families and they have to provide proof of qualifications, training and other documentation.
Roger Black said: “The KalliKids UK Best Awards are an inspirational testament to the high standards of its providers. KalliKids arms parents with information and confidence so that children can flourish in safe and recommended environments.”
Karen Bach, KalliKids Founder, added: “Visitors and users of our site were able to cast a vote for the services they have been especially impressed with. Each vote represented a big thank you to the nominated companies.”
