Samuel Kerr, aged 8, who is a pupil at Manor Field School in Burgess Hill, took part in the Henley Kids’ Triathlon on Saturday June 20.
He was raising money for Kidscape (www.kidscape.org.uk), an anti-bullying charity which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and raised £570.
He swam 25m, cycled 1km and ran 500m in 12 minutes 2 seconds. We are very proud of his achievement - he said he wanted to raise money to “help children not feel sad at school and learn how to stay safe from bullying”.
Sam is also a Friendship buddy at Manor Field School and helps the younger children at breaktimes if they need a friend.
