Jan Campbell of Burgess Hill and her twin sister June Pelz of Kettering are abseiling 400 feet down the Lift Tower in Northampton to raise funds for Combat Stress, a leading UK charity specialising in the care of veterans’ mental health.
The charity is currently supporting over 5,900 ex-service men and women suffering from mental health conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression and anxiety.
The twins, 64, have chosen Combat Stress as it is a charity close to their hearts. June was an army wife for 22 years and is mum to a serving soldier.
The abseil will be taking place on Saturday August 27 and the twins have paid for the abseil themselves so all the money donated will go straight to the charity.
Anyone wishing to donate to this fantastic charity can go online to: justgiving.com and put in June Pelz and donate.
