Calf born to Highland cows at St George's Retreat

THESE famous names may be popular but they haven’t made the shortlist for a Muckle Coo and his mum.

Our request for suitable names for the Highland duo at St George’s Retreat in Ditchling produced a flurry of emails but Katie Price and Harry Redknapp didn’t feature.

Suitably Scottish names are in the running, such as Porridge, Haggis, Hamish, Islay and Stewart, while other suggestions have a geographical theme: Rhum and Eigg, Skye and Iona and Mull and Kintyre.

Four-year-old Lily-Ella and her family came up with a couple of culinary suggestions: Neep and Tatties.

We are passing on all the names to Dick Bradford, who runs the farm off Ditchling Common. A date for the prize draw will be organised over the next few days so watch this space!
