The Triangle – operated by Freedom Leisure in partnership with Mid Sussex District Council – raised £225.72 for the Winston’s Wish childhood bereavement charity by hosting a coffee and cake sale on Wednesday 26 February.
Members and non-members supported the event by buying a hot drink and choosing a cake from the vast array baked and donated by Freedom Leisure staff and members.
“We were delighted by the turn out and the generosity shown by visitors to The Triangle in support of Winston’s Wish,” says Stuart Smith, Freedom Leisure centre manager at The Triangle.
“This is a very important charity that does invaluable work with bereaved children and I’m very pleased that we raised so much so quickly.”
