Life has its ups and downs but at Chelwood Gate Nursery this week it has had more than its usual share as the children took place in a sponsored bounce, raising more than £100 in aid of Sport Relief.
The children, aged between two and five, took it in turns to bounce as many times as they could in one minute, collecting sponsorship pennies for every bounce they achieved.
Nursery Manager Nikkie Morris, who counted the bounces, said “A great morning of fun and exercise was had by all, and the children are really pleased to have been able to raise money for those less fortunate than themselves”.
The nursery, rated ‘outstanding’ by OFSTED, operates out of Chelwood Gate village hall, and celebrated its 40th anniversary earlier this year. Further details about sessions offered can be found on the website at www.chelwoodgatenursery.co.uk
