The 2014 Darts Marathon organised each year by the Rotary Club of Cuckfield & Lindfield is under way and it’s not too late to join.
Teams of six throw darts for one hour, as fast as they can, to achieve scores monitored by rotary club members.
The teams may be all men, all women or mixed, and members raise sponsorship for local charities. You can arrange a venue and date to suit you until the end of April.
Last year over £11,000 was raised to make it an amazing £100,000-plus in the 15 years the marathon has been running.
This year the main charities are St Peter & St James hospice and Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.
The local Rotary Club carries out many practical tasks in the local community as well as raising £300,000 in total over the last 15 years.
It is particularly strong on supporting the young people of the area with Youth Speaks, Young Chef and Young Musician competitions.
It also helps with reading assistance in schools, mock interviews and hands out Dictionaries for Life.
Darts teams could be from a pub, a club, a church, a company or just a group of friends. Contact Alec Landauer 01444 455 069 firstname.lastname@example.org for details. See also http://www.rotarysussex.org
