Your article in last week’s Middy ‘Milestone for town’s cultural quarter’ (15/9/16 page 3) reported on the findings of the Cultural Quarter Working Group who have reached the staggering conclusion “that there is a desire for a flexible community space in the centre of town”.
Have they just realised that, could they not have listened to the 6,000 people who petitioned to save the Martlets Hall? To add insult to injury it is reported they have appointed a consultant - why?
If he does his job properly he can only come to one conclusion that it was totally misguided and undemocratic to sacrifice the Martlets Hall to suit the developers when no like for like replacement was planned or can be found.
