We have lived in Lindfield in the heart of Mid Sussex for more than 30 years. We used to walk from our house along footpaths through beautiful countryside, cycle on country lanes with few cars to places such as Wakehurst and Sheffield Park, and visit our local GP without delay when our children were unwell. Already our quality of life has fallen: the country paths now go through housing estates and we have to get in the car to find a country walk, we no longer feel safe cycling on the lanes which are used by so many more cars, and we now have to wait a week for an appointment to see our GP. Meanwhile we are told each time a new housing development is approved that another 130 houses will not increase the traffic on our roads significantly and our plea for safe cycling routes to shops, schools and the station falls on deaf ears.

We are being robbed of our heritage to line the pockets of speculative developers and having worked hard on our Local Neighbourhood Plan we feel totally disenfranchised.
