Regional finals - ‘He truly deserves some support’

I WOULD like to ask your paper to publish my letter to assist in drumming up support for a local man, Kevin Dawson, who entered a national musician’s competition and has got through to the regional finals on October 27, 2012.

He has put great efforts into his music and is helping with local charity events to show how music can be therapy for those suffering life-threatening conditions. He truly deserves some support in helping to raise his profile both for the local community and for himself. He is currently independent but would like to move into a professional career with a record label but to do that he has to get through to the national finals at The O2 and he can only do that if his community get behind him and support him through this next round.

Kevin knows that I am writing to you and would truly be appreciative of publication of this letter and any support your newspaper can help raise and he would love for people to get involved with the competition (Open Mic UK) and the talent it can help to greater things.

People can find out more about Kevin on Facebook – on Twitter - @KidawsonDawson and Soundcloud –
