SHOREHAM Light-house is getting a new paint job.
Scaffolding has been put up round the building while the routine maintenance is carried out.

Work on building the Kingston Buci lighthouse started in 1842, when it was decided to replace the fishing station beacons.

The first oil-burning lantern was lit in the lighthouse in 1846 and, despite changing to gas and then electricity, the outside of the building has remained relatively unchanged.
