Ansty had a straightforward win against West Chiltington in the Sussex Premier Cricket League Gray Nicolls T20 Cup

Openers Charlie Reeves (27) and Ben Miller were parted with the score on 8 as Miller was caught by Jonny Young off Jethro Menzies for 2.

Jack Elliott-Monday struck two fours in his 13, caught by Morgan Lapina-Amarelle.

Alex Miller was caught & bowled by Jonny Young for a duck and with Ian Haggart departing for 1, yet another catch, Tim Van Noort came to the crease. Van Noort struck out to score 32 but was then run out. Wickets had continued to fall at the other end however and with Van Noort the 9th wicket to fall just 3 more runs were added and the visitors were all out for 96.

Leo Anderson and Jethro Menzies each took 3 wickets.

Ansty’s reply began with Anderson opening the batting with Ben Towler. This pair put on 55 for the first wicket off six overs when Anderson was caught for 33, including 3 fours and 2 sixes.

Jon Young helped Towler put on a further 20 but in his first over Tim Van Noort trapped Towler LBW for 32 (4 fours).

Jethro Menzies (13no) joined Young (11no) and they saw Ansty to victory by 8 wickets in 13.3 overs.
