Crawley Town have agreed with Championship club Birmingham City to extend the loan of defender Mitch Hancox for a second month.

He joined the Reds at the end of September and in one month has made seven appearances playing at left back.

During his stay the 21-year-old scored his first ever goal in the Football League during their 3-2 win against Leyton Orient.

Manager Mark Yates: “We’re delighted to be able keep Mitch for another month.

“His experience and skill have helped settle the team down in recent weeks and he’s a very popular member of our squad.

“I’d like to thank (manager) Gary Rowett and his staff at St Andrew’s for letting him stay with us.

“He is getting regular games which is what the loan was all about.”
