Manager Mark Yates has stressed Crawley Town face a tough start to their campaign, which begins on Saturday afternoon away to Oxford United.
He says his side are ready to face the big spending sides and hopes they are not quite playing at 100 per cent whey the Reds have to play them.

Yates said: “Oxford are big club, a good club. They probably expected to do better last year.
“Michael (Appleton) has brought in some real good players for this level and possibly beyond. But they’ve got to get out of this division first. I know they aspirations to.
“It’s going to be a really tough game. I’ve seen them a couple of times in pre-season and we’ll be ready for them.
“They’re a good, strong side. Some players who can open you up, some good defenders so it’s going to be a tough one, but I am looking forward to it and I know my players are too.
“You hope that other clubs haven’t quite got everything right yet and it’s a good time to play them.
“Michael knows his team and has played the same team in consecutively and there won’t be too many surprises.
“We haven’t been as fortunate as that in our recruitment, we’ve had to look at different players and different formations.
“I’ve got options, particularly in the forward and wide area and those are the biggest decisions I’ve had to make.”
