Weekend sport devastated by weather again

SPORT has been devastated across the county for a second Saturday in a row.

All football including Crawley Town’s Npower League 2 match at home to Aldershot, Horsham’s trip to Wealdstone in the Ryman League, and Lewes’ home match against Leatherhead, is off thanks to the plunging temperatures, which reached as low as -12 degrees, and frozen pitches.

All Sussex County Football League fixtures have been called off in Division 1, 2, and 3, while rugby and hockey fixtures have also been wiped out. The sole football match to survive is Seaford Town’s Brighton Charity Cup tie against Crowborough.
