Burgess Hill suffered a heart-breaking end to their campaign when a goalless draw left them relegated.

They needed to do better than their nearest rivals, Needham Market, to stay up in the Ryman Premier League.

However Hillians failed to trouble the scorers at home to fourth-placed Tonbridge Angels, while Needham beat Dulwich Hamlet 2-1.

The result means Hill finish the season fourth from bottom on 50 points, one point below Needham.

A massive crowd of 576 watched the exciting final day of the season at the Green Elephants Stadium with everything still to play for, but sadly they will be back watching Ryman League South football next year.
