On a day ideal for golf and the course in tip top condition after the recent Pro-Am.
Ben Arnold gave a fine display of golf over 36 holes to win both the Captains Cleek and the Royle Plate. A morning round containing five birdies gave Ben a great start to the day of 40 pts.
His form continued into the afternoon with four more birdies and a score of 39 pts to give a combined total of 79 pts. Speaking to Ben afterwards he said “it was his best display of putting all year”. The field came back at him in the afternoon with Neil Jones scoring 41 pts and Graham Hollis 40 pts. to finish second and third in the Captains Cleek.
Runner up for the Royle Scratch Plate was Dan Simpson with 149 against 143 for Ben
