Busy Dave shows his all-round sporting talents

DAVID PAGE showed the full array of his sporting skills when Clayton & Keymer Royal British Legion organised an 11-tournament programme.
Page (pictured left) won five events and was runner up in two others to deservedly pick up the Champions Cup as the most successful player overall.
The sporting all-rounder beat Barry Williams and Donald Miller to lift the snooker open and and handicap competitions respectively, defeated Bernie Everest in the billiards, Syd Turner in the shove ha’penny and Roy Tucknott in the triples, which comprised snooker, darts and cribbage.
In addition, Page was runner up to Derek Taylor in the bar billiards and to Dilly Williamson in the table bowls. Williamson also beat Pauline Lee to lift the cribbage crown.
Syd Turner beat Ron Taylor in the pool, Dave Chewter defeated Fred Weatherill in the darts and Mike Harris overcame Tucknott in the dominoes.
