At the start of the 2015 season, Preston Nomads established their Development Academy, charged with developing the 1st XI and County players of the future.

More than bridging the gap between Colts and senior cricket, the Club was determined to encourage all young players to aspire to playing to their full potential and to provide coaching, facilities and motivation to develop Academy members as people and players. Playing success would, initially, be secondary to the greater aims of the Academy. That the Development Academy XI was able to win both the 2nd XI 20/20 Cup Final (in front of a large crowd at the County Ground at Hove) and the following week overhaul an eighteen point deficit against Brighton & Hove to complete the League and Cup double far exceeded all reasonable expectations.

Two indoor training sessions have been booked at the County Ground in December which will double as Trials for anyone aged 14 to 19 who is interested in being considered for the Preston Nomads Development Academy. Do please come along if you are available on one or more of the following dates or contact one of Jason Robinson (robinson726@btinternet.com), David Symes (davidsymes@outlook.com or 07545 269089) or Graham Watson (gwatson627@hotmail.com or 07786 480164).

The dates of the two sessions are:

- Friday, 4th December from 8pm to 10pm

- Tuesday, 8th December from 7pm to 9pm

The club look forward to seeing you there. Alternatively, Preston Nomads winter nets run every Tuesday evening from 19th January through to April at the County Ground.
