ALIEN spacecraft crash reports gave youngsters an out of this world experience.
Children at Southway School, Burgess Hill, were wide-eyed when police officers heralded by sirens and a blue flashing light dashed into their playground just before morning classes today (Friday July 10)

And they watched as apparently mystified head teacher Diana Goss explained the reports of crashed craft.

Beyond the playground clues led to the shattered craft buried into the earth.

But there was no danger of anyone disappearing into outer space.

It was all part of an education exercise with police and the Mid Sussex Times, posing as the Galaxy Gazette, to stimulate the writing of youngsters.

Report and pictures in this week's Mid Sussex Times.
