Pensioners John and Anne Blake had the shock of their lives on Tuesday when a giant oak tree crashed onto their bungalow roof.
John from Harvest Close, Lindfield, said: "We were in the kitchen and heard a horrendous crash. We fell to the floor as bits of plaster showered us from the ceiling.

"When we looked out we saw that a massive oak tree from next door's garden had crashed onto our roof."
