Holly has a bright future ahead of her and is hoping to encourage others to help her protect it.
The 11-year-old Harlands Primary School pupil has written a song called Going Going Gone, about saving endangered species and protecting the environment.

Holly wrote the song when she was only 10-years-old and it has proved a huge hit amongst pupils.

Although Holly is leaving this year to move on to secondary school, teachers at Harlands believe she has left a brilliant legacy and the song will continue to be taught to youngsters.

Holly wrote the song because she was concerned for endangered animals such as the Giant Panda, Turtles, Orangutans and Polar bears. As a keen member of the school's eco-council, Holly hopes to spread the word to people and promote recycling.

She said: "Going Going Gone is about endangered animals and it is about making people realise that they need saving and we need to protect them. I really enjoy singing the song and other children think it is really nice too."

The school, in Haywards Heath, now regularly sings the piece at assemblies and music lessons.

As well as promoting an important message to the future generation, staff at the school say the children love to sing the piece and it is always a popular request.
