The Balcombe Club is supporting the Mid Sussex live music scene and has established a jazz and easy listening session on the third Sunday of every month.
A trio called L’escargots Trois have the residency and will be introducing guest artists and bands on a regular basis.
Promoter Dave Baxter, said: “There is no entry fee and everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the ambience and hospitality.
“We’re really pleased that the idea is taking off. With support from local music lovers, we’ll be able to offer some great, low impact entertainment for the foreseeable future. It’s an ideal way to relax on a Sunday afternoon.”
The club has a restaurant and licenced bar, which are both open during these events. There are more than 800 members at this time but the club is looking to expand, so non-members are welcome too.
Dave said: “The Balcombe Club is an extraordinary place.
“I was asked to bring my band to perform on New Year’s Eve 2014. The event was a total sell-out and the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive.
“From where I stood on the stage, I can honestly say that the Balcombe club members and their guests looked to be having a really good time.
“I’ve been involved professionally in the entertainment industry for over 25 years and I can tell you, from experience, facilities like this one are few and far between.
“For the opportunity to socialise with family and friends, to get out of the house, to be entertained, to make new friends, to eat well and to have a drink all at fantastic prices, I can’t recommend the Balcombe Club highly enough.”
The next event is on Sunday, March 15 (2pm to 5pm, free entry) with the jazz band L’escargots Trois.
The Balcombe Club is at Victory Hall, Stockcroft Road, Balcombe.
