AN elderly man has been taken to hospital with "serious injuries" following a crash in Durrington this morning (Friday, October 10).
Police and ambulance crews were called to the accident just after 7am this morning (Friday, October 10) at Durrington Hill, near to its junction with Salvington Road.
A 73-year-old pedestrian had been in collision with a car.
The elderly man was taken to hospital by ambulance with what police described as "serious injuries".
The car driver, a man in his 30s, was shaken but unhurt.
Police closed both lanes of the road for several hours.
