Biggest student party in Worthing

The British seaside and all its glorious history will be celebrated the biggest student party in Worthing this Easter

Carry On Up The Pier will until April 21 - on the pier.

Spokeswoman Victoria Gibbins said: “Expect to hear every song you love to dance to... every pop, rock, retro, indie, electro, dance and r’n’b classic from the last five decades, with resident DJ Will Paton (Trash Brighton) plus special guests

“Whatever your Guilty Pleasure is, you can guarantee you can boogie to it on the pier, plus lots of exciting seaside-themed extras!

The High Barnet Hair Salon is a one-stop mop shop by Worthing’s Ego Hair Spa; The Smugglers Tattoo Parlour will offer temporary pirate and sailor-themed tattoos; Dress Up Box offers a vintage and retro wardrobe for a chance to buy or rent some classic one-off pieces; and Photo Booth is the chance “step in front of our cameras and get papped!”

Victoria added; “Look out for your free I’ve Had A Carry On Up The Pier loyalty badge. It will give you reduced entry when the club finally opens for good - fingers crossed!

Doors open 10.30pm. Free entry with NUS card before 11pm; £3 without; £4 after 11pm.

Victoria said she was tying in with local students and trying to get them involved on the creative side, but it wasn’t exclusively a student event.

Open to anyone over 18, it’s an attempt to recreate the great student vibe of maybe eight years ago, courtesy of a temporary weekend licence.

“We are hoping that towards the end of May the licence will be fully granted, and then we hope Carry On Up The Pier will carry on every single Thursday.”
