Festival organiser Luke Betts could hardly contain his delight at landing one of the most famous names in the history of hip-hop.

“I can’t really believe it,” he said.

“For us to have a line-up like this one in only our second year is amazing.

“It’s pretty impressive, we have now got a line-up that is right up there with festivals which have been around for a lot longer.

“It’s all down to people who have supported us and all those who got behind us and helped us make it this big.

“It will be great to welcome Snoop Dogg to the festival.

“He is somebody who has a huge appeal because while he has obviously got his classics he is still producing great music today.”

The inaugural event last year was held in Victoria Park, Portsmouth, and dubbed the city’s first-ever dance festival.

This year’s Mutiny Festival, held at Fontwell on July 18 and 19, will feature artists such as Chase and Statusplus Rage, David Rodigan and Shy FX, as well as Labrinth, Katy B and Maverick Sabre.

It is expected to attract 15,000 revellers and tickets are already selling out fast.
