“Their innovative programming has proven extremely successful both here and abroad.

“With quartets by Mozart, Schumann and Brahms this is a perfect choice for enthusiasts of the repertoire.

“Pianist Joseph Houston has an impressive list of awards to his name together with glowing comments from the critics.

“His achievements have been recognised by Making Music with support from the Philip & Dorothy Green Award for Young Concert Artists.

“The recital of works by Debussy, Beethoven, Liszt and Chopin is a must for all keyboard fans.

“The ever-popular New Year Viennese Concert returns in 2015 after a three year break. With its much loved melodies, singing and dancing, tea and cakes, this is a family concert not to be missed.

“Also in the spring the ensemble Antara Duo will present a delightful programme of music for flute and harp including a work by Arnold Bax, who was the Circle’s President 1945 to 1953. These talented young players have been chosen as recitalists by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.

“The 73rd anniversary concert brings an exceptional artist.

“Jennifer Pike is known as a violinist with dazzling interpretative flair and exemplary technique.

“Her prodigious talent first gained international attention when she became the youngest-ever winner of the 2002 BBC Young Musician of the Year when aged 12. She is now in demand as a soloist worldwide.

“Accompanied by her father, Jeremy Pike the programme includes works by Bach, Beethoven Dvorak and Kreisler.

“Before the main season especially chosen young musicians from the Horsham Performers Platform will give a free afternoon concert. Further free lunchtime concerts will be given during the year by other talented young musicians from the area plus a series of organ recitals.”

Jill added: “There is a great year of live music to come and the Music Circle hopes to see large audiences to give a warm welcome to these visiting artists.

“The concert venues will be the Drill Hall and St Mark’s Church. Individual tickets are available but taking out a subscription gives the best deal.”
