Folk autumn programme

Bognor Regis’s Folk On The Coast kicks off its autumn and winter programme with a visit from Pete Coe on Friday, September 30 at 8pm.

Folk On The Coast organiser Roger Nash said: “Pete is no stranger to Bognor Regis, having been one of the headline performers with his then band Red Shift at the Southdowns Folk Festival back in the 1980s.

“He was superb then and as a solo artist, has even more energy, verve and talent than before. Known as a one-man folk industry, Pete has played at festivals, concerts, clubs, dances and schools throughout the UK, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and the USA.

“During the 70s, Pete recorded with Chris Coe, and was a member of the legendary New Victory Band. In the late 80s and early 90s, he toured and recorded with Red Shift, but since 1985, he’s mainly worked as a soloist and has earned an enviable reputation.
