Fortunes bring 1960s sounds to Horsham's Capitol

Spokeswoman Tracey Grubb promised four top acts in one night.

“The Fortunes are a chart-topping band who had their first smash hit with ‘You’ve Got Your Troubles, I Got Mine’ in 1965. Their success continued with numbers such as ‘Storm in a Teacup’ and ‘Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again’.

“The band are also remembered for producing a memorable jingle for Coca Cola entitled ‘It’s The Real Thing’. With a unique performance of some of the most classic ’60s songs ever made, they are no doubt one of the best ’60s bands in the country.

“Support comes from Edison Lighthouse, named after Eddie Stone Lighthouse off the Devon Coast, with two of the original band members. You can enjoy their number-one hit ‘Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes’, which sold six million copies worldwide and reached the number-one slot in January 1970.”

Stephane Booroff, drummer and vocalist of the band said: “We were brought together as band members and have become great friends over the years and this feel-good factor shines through to the audience.

“We absolutely love playing our music, which is infectious and danceable. Listen out for songs from The Drifters, The Searchers, Paul Anchor and Manfred Mann to name a few.”

Tracey added: “Kate Bell is an authentic, respectful and professional tribute to the much-loved, national treasure Cilla Black who sadly passed away recently. With her amazing vocals and talent, Kate will take you back to the golden musical era of the ’60s.

“Kate is a highly-experienced and polished performer who has successfully sung at hundreds of venues, events and functions all over the UK and also at luxury five-star hotels and on board cruises across Europe.

“The final act will be Rob Dee, the UK’s leading Billy Fury tribute act, which is second to none.

“He is very quickly establishing himself as the UK’s leading Billy Fury tribute artist with a totally-authentic act, capturing the sounds of the ’60s and the look of Billy Fury.”
