On Saturday March 14, the Young Musicians’ Showcase will allow the cream of local young players to demonstrate their impressive talents in a varied programme starting at 2.30pm.

Tickets are £3 for adults (members or non-members) and £1.50 for under-18s. Then on Saturday March 21, the society welcomes a return visit from the renowned group Ensemble Reza, who will perform Mozart’s String Quintet no. 4, Strauss’s Sextet from “Capriccio”, and Schoenberg’s lyrical “Verklarte Nacht” (Transfigured Night), an early work full of the romantic spirit of Brahms and Wagner.

Tickets are priced at £12 adults, £11 seniors and £3 students (with reductions for members) and are available from Carousel Music or on the door. To encourage parents to bring their family along, up to two adults accompanied by an under-18 will be admitted for half price
