Helping to make people’s lives dramatic

A new Horsham theatre company is promising to make young people’s lives much more dramatic for all the right reasons.

Lemon and Lime Theatre Company is a group of four young freelance theatre practitioners who are passionate about providing young people with the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the theatre-making process.

“So if you’re a budding actor, stage manager, playwright, scenic artist or one of the many other production roles associated with the theatre, then Lemon and Lime Theatre are the people you should be adding to your contact list,” says Sheryl Hill, co-director and theatre practitioner.

Lemon and Lime is kicking off its assault on the local scene by offering 11-to-16 year-olds the chance to make a play in a day.

“In the workshops young people get the opportunity to work as a part of the backstage or on-stage team to create an original production before taking part in the end-of-day showcase.

“Our workshops are designed to enable participants to creatively explore the practicalities of the theatre process in a safe, sociable and enjoyable environment and we welcome actors and artists alike, placing equal emphasis onto what goes on backstage as well as on-stage.”

Lemon and Lime Theatre are currently taking bookings for Easter Holiday workshops, A Play In A Day taking place on April 14 and 21. The workshops are for all 11 to 16-year-olds and will run from 10am-4pm at Millais School, Depot Road, Horsham.
