Journey through Dolly’s career

The show comprises a musical journey through Dolly’s early days to her arena concerts of today in a two-hour extravaganza featuring a full cast of singers and the Dolly Mixture Dancers.

Jeanne Jordan, who was introduced to country music by the Gibb brothers (Bee Gees) whilst living in Los Angeles, is at the centre of it all.

Jeanne was present at many of Dolly’s recording sessions including the recording of Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers worldwide hit, Islands In The Stream, which was written and produced by the boys.

Dolly, The Show is packed with some of Dolly’s greatest hits, including; 9 to 5, I Will Always Love You, Islands In The Stream, Jolene, Here You Come Again, Coat Of Many Colors

As Jeanne explains, it’s a fun-packed, fantastic evening with some great songs. It’s not necessarily Dolly’s life story, but much of her life comes out through the songs and Jeanne and frequently provides the context for a better understanding.

Jeanne comes to it inevitably as a fan of a fascinating woman, a performer who went from the humblest beginnings to become one of the richest women in the world.

“She was one of 13 children, I believe, and they lived up in the Smoky Mountains in just a shack place. She always says that they all slept in the same bed – but I keep thinking ‘Just how big was that bed!’”

Singing Kenny Rogers in the show BJ Thomas, with whom Jeanne has toured the world.

BJ joined his first professional country band at the age of 16 and his roots are in blues and country rock.

It was on a tour of the South Western American states that BJ and Jeanne first conceived the Country Legends show, which has been a hit on both sides of the Atlantic.
