New music showcase for original acts

Next Thursday (July 31) sees the first ever Stan’s Original Showcase at popular pub and music venue The Malt Shovel in Horsham.

The event is scheduled to happen quarterly, whenever there is a fifth Thursday in the month.

Stan, who has recently released his debut album under the name Mailman, said: “Since Sam and Marie-Clare took over the pub last July, it has become one of the go to live music venues in the town.

“They are as keen as I am to support people doing their own thing, as well as cover bands, so it made sense to put on an originals night.

“The first one is shaping up to be a bit special!”

The night will see members of popular acoustic indie-folk bands Cotton Candy Rebellion and The Tandem reunited for one night only as Cotton Tandem Rebellion.

Also on the bill are established singer-songwriter Simon King of The Collector and rising star Jodie Munday.

The event is free entry and it all kicks off at 8pm.
