This London-based five-piece (with several members originally from Crawley) have been getting some much-deserved attention recently.

After performing a range of gigs across London and the South East and getting a special mention on Lauren Laverne’s Blog for the Morning Show, the band is now set to release their new single, Sad Face, on August 19.

Here the band has crafted a bittersweet song with pounding drums and genuinely affecting lyrics.

It’s an impressive single, managing to be heartfelt and slightly melancholic without being mawkish.

The groaning guitars and distortion in the middle section help create a haunting atmosphere while the vocal and guitar melodies interact beautifully in the chorus, gradually building to an exhilarating finish.
