Shipley Festival set for even more success

Musical riches lie ahead as the ever-popular Shipley Arts Festival celebrates its eleventh year with yet another impressive programme.

This year looks set to be even more successful as the Festival develops the Gifted and Talented String Academy with the Yehudi Menuhin School, runs a composing competition with applicants from numerous countries and celebrates the community with an internationally-based group of musicians

Andrew Bernardi, artistic director, said: “There are still several of the concerts in Shipley parish: St Mary’s and St Cuthman’s as usual, and two new places this year: Anthony and Louise Burrell’s Lackenhurst and the Quaker meeting house, The Blue Idol.
