“Legacy have been playing together for over 15 years and have done festivals and other venues up and down the country, Ireland, Holland and Denmark.

“Their fantastic interpretation of traditional Celtic songs and tunes is truly something to behold and those who saw them perform at the Southdowns Folk Festival last September will attest to this.

“Legacy comprise Mal Simms on bodhran, guitar and vocals, Claire Sanders on superb flute, whistles and vocals, Paul Burgess on great guitar, Tim Cotterell on fiddle and mandolin and Nick Scott on haunting ulliean pipes.

“Supporting Legacy will be Aimee MacKenzie with younger sister Freya and brother Ross.

“They were the undisputed winners of the very first Sussex Young Folk Performers Competition at the Southdowns Folk Festival back in September and as part of their prize, they played on the same bill as the legendary Show of Hands on the Sunday evening of the Festival and went down a storm.

“Since last September, they have gone from strength to strength, and we are really looking forward to having them at Folk on the Coast.”

Folk on the Coast can be found at the Bognor Regis Town Football Club (PO21 2TY), and the performance on January 10 starts at 8pm.
