Synth-pop revivalists

Manchester synth-pop revivalists Hurts have announced a performance at Brighton Centre on Wednesday, November 2 as part of their UK tour this autumn.

Joining the band on all dates will be British female singer Jess Mills and Emerge NME Radar act Niki and The Dove.

A spokesman said: “Formed in 2009, elegant and enigmatic HURTS have their sharp suits, slick hair and stark visuals. Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson present a striking contrast to the glow-in-the-dark pop stars that have run amok across the charts of late.

“The band recently topped an NME poll, which received 500,000 votes, to find the best performance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. Fans were invited to rate performers from this year’s event and the Manchester duo held off competition from Pyramid Stage headliners U2, Coldplay and Beyonce.”
