Amateur groups aim to amaze at Horsham's Capitol

Horsham's Capitol offers a variety of polished productions from amateur performers this August.

Young actors from The Capitol’s Summer School bring Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to the venue on Friday and Saturday, August 5-6.

The show will be the culmination of two weeks of rehearsals, telling the Biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colours in one magical musical.

Tickets for the show cost £10-£14.

Next up, HAODS (Horsham Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society) present A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

This beloved Shakespeare comedy is at the theatre from Wednesday to Saturday, August 10-13.

Four runaway lovers find themselves in the middle of an argument between the King and Queen of the fairies, a troupe of not-so-professional actors try to rehearse a play and a mischievous fairy henchman goes between the groups with a love potion that can make anyone fall in love with the first person they see.

Tickets cost £15.

On Friday, August 26, Silver Ribbons and Starlets Dance Academy present Diamond Divas.

Talented young people from the academy are set to perform their hearts out and dazzle Horsham audiences for one night only.
