Brothers offer a great blues night

A music night will help boost funds for the British Heart Foundation in Haywards Heath.

Tania Rodd, British Heart Foundation shop assistant manager, said: “Upstairs at the United services club in Haywards Heath on February 22 at 8pm we are having a Blues Brother, Soul Sister event. All are welcome. It is a fundraiser for the British Heart foundation while hopefully having some fun in the process.

“The main draw for the night is The Master Blues Brothers putting on a stage show. The Master Blues Brothers were formed in 2010 by real-life brothers Sam and Jim Devereaux. Since starting out, the brothers have played several hundred shows to audiences as small as 25 and crowds as big as 7,000 the length and breadth of the UK. Sell-out gigs at the Brighton Fringe have come alongside show-stopping appearances in London, Glasgow, Bath and Manchester. The Master Blues Brothers, the UK’s finest tribute to the legendary original Blues Brothers, are guaranteed to get you dancing!

“Additional music will be provided by The Grapevine Sound system with ’60s and soul classics. There is a prize for the best blues brother/soul sister themed outfit.”

Tickets are £7.50 and available from the British Heart Foundation Shop in South Road, Haywards Heath. More details are available during the daytime on 01444 459526.

Tania added: “We are hoping to make this a really successful event, as throughout February we have various things going on, such as Love Hearts in the shop window that people can write messages on to their loved ones and also some for £10, £20 or £50 that businesses can advertise their business on.

“These are on display for the whole of the month of February. But The Blues Brothers event is our way of everyone having a bit of fun while raising a lot of money in the process.”
