Henfield Theatre Company gives Shakespeare a melodic, modern twist
Spokesman Martin Love said: “This play is a lively and sometimes controversial comedy, which is easy to understand and very entertaining. And the Henfield version is going to have an unusual twist.
“The production, directed by Angela Reid, will use a slightly abridged version of Shakespeare’s original text and the traditional 17th century setting but with the addition of musical interludes taken from the past 60 years.

“To complete the picture the audiences for this production are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy in that lovely setting, before the performances start.
“The gates will be opened from 6pm and the performances start at 7.30pm.
“Red Oaks will also be providing a Pimms bar.
“It is planned that the performances will go ahead in all but very heavy rain. Come prepared for wet or cool weather and we should be guaranteed a balmy evening!”
