Razor sharp wit and ace observations at Christ’s Hospital’s stand-up evening

Christ’s Hospital Theatre is holding an Evening of Comedy with stand-up comedians Shappi Khorsandi, Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett.

The show takes place at 8pm on Thursday, October 16.

The MC for the evening is a star of Live At The Apollo, Shappi Khorsandi. Feisty, flirty and effortlessly funny Shappi is known for handling every subject with a razor sharp wit, which is softened only by her dizzy delivery and charm.

Joining Shappi will be Rob Beckett who has appeared on shows like Mock The Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats. Rob started performing stand up in 2009 and won four new comedian competitions in his first year.

Josh Widdicombe closes the evening. He is the co-star of The Last Leg, which won the Best Entertainment Award at the RTS awards. He has been described by the Guardian as an “ace observationalist who has the ability to find the sparkle in the mundane”.

Call the box office on 01403 247434 or visit the venue’s website at www.christs-hospital.org.uk.

Shappi Khorsandi is coming to the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange on Friday, October 24.
