Take a tour of the musicals in 28-song extravaganza

Spokeswoman Melinda Lawrence explains: “When the committee of BHMTS decided they needed to do a fund-raising concert, long-term members Paul Bryant and Derrick Taylor stepped up to the plate and said ‘better still why don’t we write a show for you’ and that is exactly what they did.

“Based around the society’s annual process of trying to find a new and exciting show to perform, Paul and Derrick chart the progress from the last BHMTs show Jekyll & Hyde to their next show The Witches of Eastwick by taking a tour of the musicals.

“Search for a Show! is an extravaganza of 28 songs from 27 different musicals and has something for everyone.”

Paul explained: “We wanted it to be more than just a straightforward concert with as much variety as possible, so we came up with a storyline that would give us a lot of freedom and allow us to sing songs that we haven’t had the chance to perform before.”
