Youngtalent

NORTHERN School of Contemporary Dance’s postgraduate performance company, Verve, presents the chance in Chichester to catch some of the brightest young talent emerging onto the UK contemporary dance scene (Thursday, March 3, 7.30pm).

The Verve 11 repertoire consists of completely-new commissions from a line-up of world-class choreographers including Deborah Johnson (head of choreography at Northern School of Contemporary Dance); Charles Linehan (trained at Rambert Academy; Jerwood Choreography Award;); Peter Mika (award-winning dancer: Torzo Ballet, Bratislava etc); and Ben Wright (dance artist: Stan Won’t Dance, AMP, LCDT etc).

Spokesman Andy Roberts said: “Each choreographer was given the creative freedom to use their unique voice to develop their work with Verve, resulting in a truly-mixed bill of work performed by a company of ten dancers who present an unforgettable evening of fresh ideas and technical excellence.
