The cleaning chemicals company in Victoria Road hosted a last-minute hen party for head of HR, Sara Gibb, who was married on Friday, August 21, to Drew Clarke, in Worthing.

The team had planned a more traditional hen party for the bride-to-be, but government guidelines meant the party, and the couple’s wedding reception, had to be cancelled.

Instead, the team hosted the bash in the office, complete with diluted Buck’s Fizz, special sandwiches and a delicious cake made by accounts assistant Rebecca Banks.

Coronavirus has got in the way of a lot of things for a lot of people so it’s really nice to be able to enjoy these moments. I’m thrilled I still got to have a hen party,” said bride-to-be Sara.

“Working at Bio-Productions has always been a mixture of work and pleasure. It means a lot that we got to crack open the bubbles and cut some cake.”

The hen party is only one of the ways that Bio-Productions has been adjusting to the ‘new normal’ of a global pandemic.

The company’s workers have returned to the office in line with government guidance and have been providing cleaning chemicals to businesses around the world as they step up their own hygiene measures.

“Everyone has been affected by the pandemic in one way or another,” said managing director, Angela Gill.

“But the upside is that we’re all working harder to find creative ways to come together.

“Our team really is a big family, so we were all just happy to celebrate with Sara before her big day.
