The grey Ferguson TE20 tractor from the Museum of Gardening has gone to the workshop to be refurbished, having been a centrepiece of the South Downs Heritage Centre displays for several years.

Commonly known as the Little Grey Fergie, the machine has attracted a lot of attention from visitors keen to know more about rural life in a bygone age.

Clive Gravett, curator of the Museum of Gardening and founder of The Budding Foundation, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to give our grey Fergie some love and attention now, and can’t wait to see our little Fergie back where it belongs, looking spick and span again.”
