The stations, which also come fully stocked with top quality sanitising foam, are part of an idea from Horsham based IT company 4th Platform.

The scheme has already been installed at PureGyms across the country.

The units dispense sanitiser without the need for contact, meaning less cross contamination, and have a digital display space which runs advertising to the captive audience.

4th Platform CEO Richard Cashman said: “As we all know, hand sanitising is here to stay.

“4th Platform is offering a unique hand sanitising station proposition, it’s unique because the station generates revenue with paid for messaging on a digital screen which means it pays for itself using about six to eight messages per month.

“It’s a fully managed service, there’s no stress and no mess, our technicians monitor usage and will be on-site to replenish the sanitiser foam before the unit runs out and our remote teams manage the system and upload content.”

A spokesman for PureGym said, “Having the digital contact free hand sanitiser in our club allows our members to see our health and safety guidelines on the screen whilst sanitising their hands, the sanitiser protects their hands for up to 6 hrs after application.

“The benefit of the screen function also serves as a communication messenger board to advertise what’s happening within our club and update our Portsmouth members on the latest news and information. It has given them confidence that the gym they train at is clean and proving a good service to them.”

4th Platform was set up by IT company Principal. It has a service delivery centre based in Horsham, as well as offices in Barnes Wallis Road in Segensworth, Ashford in Kent and London.
