Emma says her purpose is to “create products that invite and engage people to be an active and immersive part of their creation and evolution, inspiring optimism, joy and creativity at a time when the world is in much need of such energy.”

She said: “I truly believe that making things is fundamental to learning, independence, self-expression and self-confidence. I want to share and spread the benefits of making with others. I want to design products that invite people to have a go at home.

“As we throw open the doors and windows of all non-essential shops, it’s imperative we jump back onto our local high streets, buy local, smile and say hello to each other!

“I’m so lucky to live and work in a thriving market town like Lewes where we are able to buy local delights on our high street.

“To celebrate, announce and inspire our return to the high street, I’ve designed a special Shop Local tote bag embroidery kit. This kit comes complete with the embroidery design printed on the front of the bag and an instruction postcard and all the wool you need tucked inside. It is suitable for all abilities, beginners welcome!

“I hope people feel confident and excited about shopping local and I’m looking forward to seeing a few freshly filled bags rubbing shoulders!”
